How to connect with the audience?

Zach Zucker is an award-winning, comedy performer from New York, with international acclaim. In this workshop he will share some of his key methods to succeeding on stage.

Very often we enter stage with such strong ideas that makes us forget about the most important thing in the room - the audience. We either go too fast without letting them join in on the game, or we do too much, and scare them away. In this workshop we learn how to listen for laughter by slowing down and unpacking every moment onstage. If you let them, the audience will tell you what to do.

Zach is a graduate of École Philippe Gaulier in France, and has sold out original comedy shows at Edinburgh Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Comedy Central.

He has taught comedy workshops at Second City, The Groundlings and The UCB Theatre and is the creator of LA-based, independent comedy label Stamptown.

NO Fringe Festival Bergen is a four days multidisciplinary arts festival

The festival will take place in Bergen from 11-14th of September acting as a ‘stage’ for local, national and international artists to present their innovative work ranging from performance to installation art and anything in between.

The festival will be a meeting place for both emerging and established artists and stands for artistic freedom and focuses on out-of-the-box and “alternative” works that may not fit into mainstream performance or exhibition spaces.

Each year over 200 Fringe Festivals across the world showcase hundreds of thousands of artists and performers. 19 million people see approximately 170 thousand performers in 60,000 free and ticketed events. There are so many different forms of Fringe Festival,

no two are the same and they never repeat themselves.
